anyone do it? any tips regarding glues and threads to use? like, does anyone have a source for vegan waxed thread?

everybody feel free to jump in with anything regarding the process, here. i'm a-learnin'.

i have an awesome book if you wanna borrow it.
i know for coptic stitch, it's super easy to forge a needle over a candle.
can you try waxed vegan dental floss or using a soy candle?

I have not tried that. Dental floss is a good idea. I do have a book:

you can try, also, quilting supply stores usually sell a gadget that you can use to wax your thread. (quilt wax block) that looks like

That one is full of beeswax, but mine is clear and i assume synthetic, and i bought it at a mainstream sewing big-box store, so i assume they're available in non-beeswax as well.
