Post subject:  Sergers?

Anyone left out there who has any recommendations for a serger or resources to look at? I am considering one for the new year but don't know anything about them and know they can be tricky.

I think Erika is a serger pro. I remember her posting here about it before. Hopefully she can chime in!

Ah. Googling revealed that it is an american term for overlock-sewing-machine :)

Sorry, can't help, have never had one.

I have a Singer 14SH654 which I got used from a colleague. All I can say is, I use it all the time and it's great, it makes such a difference in the final results! I only sew clothes and I'm finding myself going over the clothes I made before I got this machine just to tidy up the seams with it.
It takes a little to figure out the various threads but it's not overly complicated.

I might have a place where you can get a suggestion. Sending carrier pigeon now.
