your 2nd one reminds me of a piece my friend recently did, she was going on this theme of people melding to each other...like those male fishies that attach themselves to the female eternally and are then absorbed.

(please don't be offended by my use of the word slut, i use it 24/7 and call most people sluts, especially when they're naked, i'm being ironic, okay)

I really like the second one, dreamofhorses, it reminds me of the drawings in hedwig and the angry inch.

I was going to say the same thing! It reminds me of "The Origin of Love", and I love that song.

I haven't seen that movie in a long time! I'll have to watch it again and maybe draw some inspiration (no pun intended).

Nice work guys! I don't draw as often now, and when I do I don't get it into my computer. Mostly the stuff I do now is in photoshop, just for fun (I used to major in art in college, all my "real art", including a billion nudes are in a giant portfolio stuffed behind a couch).

Work Funnies #1. I posted stupid drawings all over the vet's office I worked at (this was 7 years ago). HAH FARTING!

Thanks!! I had this exact nightmare so I drew it because it was actually more hilarious than scary.

When it's drawn like this it definitely is not! You are doing just as much drawing (wacom I am guessing) than with a pencil! Only thing that I might accept as saying is cheating is the cut and paste style computer art. And even then, they would probably have to use other people's art as bits in their cut and paste job before I'd call it cheating.

Oh well I guess you could say it is cheating for this thread in particular though, since it's not really a 'DRAWING' (I love how that's in caps in the title) it's a digital illustration.

Cheating for this thread, def. Should I delete them? Now I feel bad, haha. I also said that it was "cheating" to appease any ppker who is anti-computer art. I've met some people who believe making art on a computer is not real art, is easier, etc. I can understand the opinion, but it's not easier, you're not suddenly an amazing artist if you open photoshop. Things come out prettier and neater is all, and erasing is WAY easier!

i posted this on the old boards but this is the only drawing i like all right that i have on the computer. so this is all you get. i am really trying to push myself to learn to draw though, so i've actually been doing it recently! just not computerizing much of it.

this was a 1 hour sketch i did at a community art space figure drawing class. i should go to these more often. it's pretty crinkly though because i biked home and it was very windy.

I always just tell those people that it's just another medium. People used to say the same thing about photography the first couple decades it was around. I don't think you need to take it down, personally. Though maybe we should make a digital illustration thread, heheh.
