of course! I'll post about it when it's finished. :) I am testing a stew tonight. It's fun pretending to be a cookbook author!

Give yourself a really tight deadline to make the pretending more real.......

Use that feeling and it will add realism to your testing process.......
I am joking - it is fun playing around with recipes to get them as perfect as possible!

Do you just want the recipe or pictures as well? Pm me your email and I'll send them to you as I finish testing each one. Newfie tea buns recipe is good to go.

For those interested, and my awesome PPK contributors (THANK YOU!), I just wanted to give the heads up that I'm not positive I'll have the zine ready in time for the Vancouver VegFest, but I will have it done by the end of June and will sell it online. All profits will be donated to The Responsible Animal Care Society (TRACS), based in Victoria. http://www.tracs-bc.ca/

There's a chance I might get it done by the fest, but some deadlines and upcoming trips are making that a bit of a challenge. And I want it to be AWESOME.

Do you need anything more from me to help with this???? I can lend you my time-turner if you like.

I'll take a time-turner, yes please!

The issue is just that I have a lot of travel in May, and some deadlines I can't ignore. I might very well finish in time, but I didn't want you guys to think I'm flaking if I don't! :)

And to be honest, I think it'll be better received online than at the VegFest.

I do so want this. I'm not Canadian, obviously, but I'm an awesome proof reader and tester (obvs). Let me know if I can help in any way, but I'll definitely be buying it.

Do you need any testing done?

Or are there other recipes that need developing?

Thanks guys! Dubs and Efcliz, I might hit you up to test a couple of recipes I'm working on. Other than that, the recipes are pretty much done, it's just everything else that needs doing! :)

I really wanted to include a recipe for Vegan KD. I emailed Vegan Dad and asked if he'd be willing to contribute his recipe, but he didn't respond. I'm having a hard time coming up with my own version that doesn't feel like it borrows too heavily from his/other recipes. Dubs, perhaps you are a vegan KD whiz?

Mine's based heavily on Esme's Special Sauce. So...not really, no.

How is this project coming, vijita? I saw you mention poutine gravy in the dinner thread and it made me remember how excited I was (am!) for this zine to come out. I'd love to help if I can - no recipes, but I'd be more than happy to proofread or do layout-y stuff or something.

Oh hi! I still want to do this and have a ton of stuff written/laid out, but I got distracted by a million other things. Thanks for the encouragement and kick in the pants, though! I'll try to pick it up again in January and will definitely contact you guys if I need anything! Making my silly xmas cookzines has been a good experience so I feel more confident.

I missed this thread the first time around, but I'd also be happy to proofread if you need another set of eyes. And I'm definitely interested in buying a copy once it's finished since these recipes all sound delish!

Vijita, if you're interested in making a French version of your zine available, I'd be more than happy to translate it! There's a huge need for vegan recipes and resources in French, and this would be a great way to catch people's interest.
