Are we thinking of the same ones? The ingredients are the same and the sauce is identical.

They could have made some small adjustments, but I've eaten a lot of both, and I'm positive it's the same exact sauce.

Burrito smack down! Are we going to wrestle in vegan chocolate mousse or just yell at each other?

seriously, what convenience foods are you talking about? So many amazing bloggers are regular posters on the PPK, and they have blogs full of amazing, non-convenient-food, whole foods recipes. And also, Isa's blog is full of recipes that use amazing, whole ingredients. What about that is convenience food? Have you even read any of the other threads in the Kitchen?

It sounds like you've made your mind up about how you'd like to insult the PPK, but what you're saying isn't even true at all.

I tried the Trader Joe's burritos once in my early vegan days and was unimpressed. But that was back when I wasn't 100% vegan (because I also cooked food that didn't come in boxes). Now that I've progressed to a "Level 6: Only Packaged Food" vegan, I'll probably like them.

I stick around because I find some useful information on here and I also like to share what I find. It's the sarcastic people who don't have anything constructive to say that annoy me. And I'm sure a lot of people on this board feel the same way I do they just don't say anything because this forum isn't really known for allowing even the smallest degree of dissent. It's a shame too because veganism could be so much better and more respected if people would just learn how to cook and throw off the yoke of convenience foods. And just because you can cook a few things between your boca burger fixes doesn't mean you know how to cook.

You should start a cooking website.

this is odd. it's a vegan forum. if you use a recipe that isn't vegan and want to share the recipe, then just share the recipe modified to be vegan - like the veggie broth instead of chicken.

i like the term partner - it's so much more cooperative like than most terms. a team.

Also, for the record: I (and I'm sure many PPKers would agree) eat waaaaay less convenience food as a vegan than I did when I was omni. It was all about the hot pockets and rice-a-roni. Cake as an omni: Something from Entenmann's or a boxed mix if I wanted to be fancy. Cake as a vegan: Flour, soy milk, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, etc. Oh the horror.

But tonight we had wild rice and roasted broc, corn, mushrooms, carrots, potatoes, kale, and tofu with a smoky (homemade) tomato/vinegar sauce. It was very good.
