AKA Is there any method behind those bits of text under our names, other than someone thought it would be funny?
Apologies if it's obvious to everyone but me; I'm not up to date on my niche American radio show hosts (according to Wikipedia).

Glenn Beck is a ranting lunatic that had/has a disturbingly large following. He used to have a Fox News tv show but now has returned to just doing radio. This should help explain: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNOku6QP4UM

And he was vegan for about 20 days: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=9638(and yeah, it's funny)

When I got that subnick, I also didn't know who Glen Beck was, and I didn't realise it was one of the standard ones. When I googled him, and realised what a wanker he is, I thought that I must have been an arse of the first water in some thread for the mods to have given me that subnick... and so I sent a whiny email to one of the mods about it. What an eejit.

Haha, I'm glad you said that. I also thought maybe I'd said something really offensive and was being branded somehow.

First let me say I'm glad I'm not a Glenn Beck....ewww! Right now my subtitle says Tofu Pup and I can't seem to figure out how to change it. I'm gathering that there are standard ones but I'm hoping there is a way to customize our own??? I know what I want to write, I just cant figure out how...

There are standard subnicks that are automatically applied based on your total number of posts. There are also custom subnicks sometimes granted capriciously by the mods either as a blessing for having amused them or as a curse for brought them great annoyance.
The first rule, however, is never ask for a custom subnick. Like wishes from a genie, your intent will inevitably be twisted into something suitably embarrassing.

Mine is currently "chip strong", which I again had to check applied to other people as well and Isa and Mods weren't just saying I ate too many chips. I had a little why do they think I eat too many chips oh my god am I too fat and this is their way of telling me? moment. I had to google it to make sure it wasn't just a weird attack against me. This is the second time I've done that...
I need to stop letting the subnicks traumatise me.

I love my subnick. It makes me look like I am the gift from the crasshole gods!

When I first came here I thought the filter for bad words was some kind of PPK slang... I felt like a n00b for not being able to memorize them all!
