I'm getting this constantly, every time I switch boards or click on a post.

Same. It's driving me bananas.

I'm doing a lot of thread reading and moderating and I haven't gotten it all day. Regardless, reload or go back, but remember to only hit "submit" once! Someone is working on it!

It seems like I get it about 70% of the time.

I keep getting this message too. It's making it very hard for me to waste time at work.

Also getting it probably about 70% of the time.

Though interestingly, it hasn't happened to me at all since this thread showed up. Awesome guys, more complaining, it's working!

Same here, I get "unavailable" quite often.

I've been getting it all day too. And it happened when I went to reply to this thread!

It's happening constantly for me too. It just took me 6 tries to open this thread. I usually wait a few minutes before trying again, but it doesn't seem to help. It didn't happen at all before the boards were opened to the general population.

I'm getting it too. It didn't happen during testing and it didn't happen when I went on at 7am before work. but it's been on and off all day. Lately more off than on.

Me too on the 70% of the time. In fact, I'm almost positive I'll get it again after I post this.

... does that mean the moderators can see it, but it's down for everyone else? Because I haven't gotten any "temporarily unavailable" messages, but I do see the above well more than half the time. Figured you'd be the dude to know...

I'm assuming it's just going to have issues for at least a few days.

I actually wrote a reply to this earlier, but when I hit submit I got the message that HDog is showing and it didn't post. I get that one a lot today.

It means the boards is unavailable because we're working on it.

It hasn't happened to me at all today! :)

The boards become unavailable when the server load gets to high. This is a stopgap measure to prevent mysql from timing out, multiple posts, etc. Should be moot once the server has been upgraded.

If you want to help out in the meantime: when you see that message, don't click on refresh like a meth addict--this only increases the load on the server. Click on it more like a pothead. Or do something else for a couple of minutes. Look at cuteoverload. Make a cup of tea. Appreciate the fact that you are a self-aware entity existing in time.

Hasn't been happening to me for the past day. Woohoo!
