maple butter: what do i do with it?

I came back from Vancouver with a giant jar of it, and am not sure what to do. Thoughts? Suggestions?

pandacookie and I had it on amazing waffle sandwiches the morning I passed through Portlandia, but I don't have a waffle iron here and I fail at making pancakes (unless I bake them; that's "ok"). So I keep thinking about that, but well....waffles are not going to happen. I don't want to buy a waffle iron.

So! Sweet suggestions? Savory ones would be nice, too.

It's good on sweet potatoes, or on biscuits or cornbread if you like them sweet.

Just eat it out of the jar with a spoon. Or put it on vanilla ice cream :)

As a native New Englander I will put this on anything, really. Same goes for straight maple syrup.

Panda knows from maple butter. There's a great pumpkin speculoos ice cream recipe in Vegan Subs that is one of the best I have tried. It would be great with the maple butter.

For something savoury you could do a sausage biscuit type thing since you don't have the waffle to wrap it all in.

It's great on toast or as icing on cake, or simply out of the jar as Osric suggested.

Amazing mapley vegan breakfast of champions.

Oatcakes with Thai basil, oregano, seasalt & maple surgar smothered with maple butter & smoked tofu sauteed in maple syrup; a side of greens.

I'll use more of your ideas later! (This one was a half-panda half-my friend Stephanie idea.)

I'm the Julia Childs of maple syrup!

When I make recipes that call for maple syrup, I put one tablespoon in the recipe, and one in my mouth, one in the bowl, one in my mouth, etc etc so on and so forth.

Yum!
