While organizing the pantry I realized that I have a rather large collection of vinegars. My collection includes:
white vinegar cider vinegar malt vinegar balsamic vinegar fancy balsamic vinegar white balsamic vinegar red wine vinegar white wine vinegar sherry vinegar rice vinegar seasoned rice vinegar ume plum vinegar Chinese black vinegar
I use most of these on a regular basis, but still, that's a lot of freakin' vinegar. Tell me I'm not the only food horder. Help me feel slightly less ridiculous.

I thought I was bad! When I cleaned out my cupboards I realized I had nine types of vinegar. I also have a tiny kitchen though.

I do this with nuts and seeds:
walnuts raw cashews (need some roasted ones too maybe) raw almonds with skin'(I've almost run out and need to buy new ones) raw almonds without skin home roasted almonds with and without skin hazelnuts with skin (contemplating to get some without too...) brazil nuts brown flax yellow flax hulled sesame unhulled sesame pumpkin seeds sunflower seeds poppy seeds chia seeds I want hemp seeds too, but they only come in tiny expensive bags, so haven't got them yet.
I order most of my seeds online in 2 pound bags, so you can imagine what our pantry is like :-)
I have quite a few containers of storebought and homemade nutbutters and nutflours hanging around too.
My collection of grain and legume flours is also quite extensive.

I have most of those. Not the Chinese black vinegar. Is rice vinegar the same as brown rice vinegar? I have that too. Love my vinegar.

I've got a problem with herbs and spices, and the problem is I don't own every single one ever. But I do have two boxes crammed full of them and then even more jars that couldn't it in there. Also, like, six different kinds of dried chile peppers.

I have over 100 types of tea in my pantry. I think I may have just the tiniest food hoarding problem.
I also have seventeen types of flour and at least sixty different spices.
But beyond those things I have a pretty sane amount of food.

When I read the thread title I was planning to use those last two vinegars, the plumb and black Chinese, to prove to you that you did not have all the vinegars. I guess you do have them all. Congrats! I used to have them all, but I think I'm out of apple cider, which I despise and usually try to sub for anyway.

I think I have a possibly irrational fear that I will run out and not be able to get it again? (hoarder, perhaps?) Chinese black, I haven't come across a recipe for, and thus have never purchased. And seasoned rice vinegar is on my list. Check to all the others. The vinegar aisle is my favorite to ogle at Whole Foods. (After the bulk section, of course!) Thanks for rounding out my vinegar wish list, BluePlasticStraw! Hoarders Unite!

I love Chinese black vinegar-- it's really good for dipping dumplings in.
I'm jealous of your vinegar collection!

You've definitely got me vinegar beat, but I have pomegranate balsamic vinegar. It was an accidental buy, but still.

Banana vinegar?
I read a description of how to make it, and it sounds appalling.

I almost bought coconut vinegar today and then I thought of this thread and I didn't. And now I wish I had gotten it!

ameyfm wrote: you need coconut vinegar! I have the burning urge to be a completest and get coconut, date, palm and raisin vinegars, but that path leads to madness and an overflowing pantry. I do try to stick to stuff I actually use. Further organization revealed multiples of several of those. Two and a half cider vinegars, two red wine and two rice. I think I'm cut off from buying vinegar for a while.

I have a similar condiment problem but I've laxed up a bit on the vinegars. I have still far too many fridge condiments though.
