Im going to be optimistic and assume fun dips and finger foods will be good and not just a bottle of vodka.
Is anyone making anything? I'm mulling nachos, spinach dip, walnut pâté, red pepper hummus...undecided. Hah.
(sorry if this already a thread, I looked, and then decided that it must have been on the teaching forum I read and not here)

I will be thinking of watching you guys and watching a double bill of TCM movies based on some of my favorite books and switching back and forth between election results and The Grapes of Wrath and The Great Gatsby.
And eating hot sauce glazed tempeh, with dill and mushroom kasha pilaf and sauteed lactinato kale. And a piece of banana bread for dessert!

No specific plans (maybe I should make some!) but I can report from an awkward 2004 that if you set out to make blue cocktails, keep in mind that blueberries actually sort of turn things reddish purple. Just go with the curacao.

I am a big advocate of booze for dinner, myself, so I say just do the vodka bit.

Actually, my booze supply is pretty much baked away. I'm clean out and can't afford to replace anything right now, not even my Kahlua. I was bluffing about the vodka.
Actually, I think I need to make red foods. I'm especially concerned about the Kaine/Allen race, and for some reason the colors are switched.

the place where we vote is downtown and right across from the place we get thai takeout from so we will be doing that again. since we vote after work i probably wont have time to make anything and ill be too anxiety ridden and wanting to vomit everywhere to want anything.
i however am wearing a BLUE sweater to work tomorrow! i dont think anyone will get it but that's ok.

I'm getting cupcakes from Capital City. She's making blue and red and black ones and the first one to sell out wins. I have a feeling there will be a lot of red ones leftover. And then tomorrow is national nacho day. I also have a lot of wine.
So vegan nachos, blue cupcakes, and wine. What's more American than that?

Celebratory bottle of champagne. I've also got stuff for chili, so maybe I'll throw that in the crockpot while I'm at work.

Not sure what's on the menu (I'll ask my servants), but Obama supporters are going to be eating crow.
Which, I shouldn't have to tell you, is not vegan.

Buffalo cauliflower. OMG. That is genius. I am now tempted to repurpose my cauliflower purchase away from caulipots and toward this instead... OH NOES

I wish I had a waffle iron so that I could make waffles. . . because, ya know, politicians waffle on some issues. Also, I just really want waffles.

I've made buffalo cauliflower. It was fine, but I gotta say.... I way prefer tofu (or tempeh or soy curls).
Anyway! I may or may not be going to an election night party later on, so maybe I'll make apple pie. I'm thinking pumpkin and non-alcoholic beers at home, and some tofu/bean/greens/rice bowls. Classic.

I just had to look up which side was blue. I am making Vegan Table Three-Bean chili and cornbread. It is cold here in Michigan. I am celebrating a quiet house with no more robo calls. Seriously have been getting at least 10 a day. I suppose chili is red, hmmmmmm. Anyways I am a targeted voter being a white female, also known as Walmart mom, since I have been there once in the last month. Maybe that is why they always call for me and not my husband.
