I can't believe I didn't think of this sooner, but I got tired of spending $3 on iced teas and $6 on almond milk frappuccinos, so I invented my own tea-frappe! I've gotten carried away since, and it's developed into a slushie habit. I take 1.5 ice trays and add about 1.25 cups of liquid. If I'm using tea or coffee and not just water, I brew about half a cup of either and then bring to 1.25cups with cold water or a cold non-dairy milk. Just water, or cold juice can also be used of course. Then I add flavorings to the liquid before blending with a blender! Here are some pleasant combinations:
Ginger tea with Rum and Banana extracts (1/5 tsp each)
Black herbal tea with licorice notes and anise extract (1/4-1/3 tsp)
Any tea or other liquid with cinnamon extract (1/2 tsp)
Almond milk with 2tb carob powder
Almond milk with lemon extract (1/3 tsp or less), ginger powder and cream of tartar(3/4 tsp)
Oolong tea with vanilla and cherry extract (1 tsp and 1/2 tsp or less)
Lime juice (1 tb) with water
Energy drink slushy
Chai tea with extra chai seasonings (black pepper, cardamom etc) plus an extract (almond, vanilla, orange and coconut are good)
Wine isn't too bad as a slushy either ;)
I add stevia to most of these after blending.
Enjoy, and enjoy saving money.

Yum! Those sound like really nice combos. My partner just bought a huge tin of matcha powder, now I'm thinking I should be making frozen drinks with it.
