There's some debate, but I think it's supposed to be say-TAHN. That's how I say it.

I mispronounce practically everything, but mostly tumeric. Have you guys ever gone to forvo.com? It's the best!

I'm really glad worcestershire sauce isn't vegan 99% of the time, cause I can't say it for shiitake.

I went to a college in Worcester, Massachusetts. Worcester is pronounced "Wuss-ter" more or less. During my high school graduation, the superintendent of schools mentioned me and my college plans. (What he said, I don't know, because I was talking to the guy sitting next to me.) He called it "War-chester" and the only people in the audience who thought it was noteworthy were my friends from up there.

I never know with fenugreek... "fen-YOU-greek" or "fen-Ooooh!-greek!" (like oooh-la-la) or...?

I pronounce it ed-ah-mah-may or ed-ah-mah-mee

"Eh-dah-ma-may" is the correction pronunciation.

i say satan because i don't like the way it is suppose to be pronounced.

You probably mispronounce it because you misspell it. You're missing an R. it's turmeric, not tumeric. TUR-mur-ick

What about salsify?

Is the last syllable fie (as in defy) or fee? I've heard both. There is only one pronunciation on forvo.com, and that's with a 'fie' sound at the end.

I say say-TAHN. Maybe because it sounds more similar to seitán that way. And tempeh, tempay. (I don't know if I'm pronouncing them right, ha).
And daiya, day-yah. I think the right way is die-yah, not sure.
