I want to make corn dogs, but I don't want to deep fry because it's such a pain.

Could I take a corn bread recipe and add chopped hot dogs, then fry them in a pan like pancakes?

You could just make the cornbread with chopped dogs in it.

Yeah, but I figured pan frying it would make it taste more like a corn dog.

I could totally test both out. The cornbread method would allow for leftovers anyway.

I've made baked corn dogs before: cornbread batter, veggie dog, Twinkie pan. Yum.

I have a fear of frying.

I think hot dog corn pancakes sound yummy! I just might be tempted to pour maple syrup on them though!

Well I ended up making pan-frying them pancake style and they were awesome.

I used the Joy of Vegan Baking cornbread recipe, skipped the corn, added more sweetener, and veggie dog rounds.
Super good with ketchup and mustard!
