Does anyone know of a good recipe for cheese onion bread? Back in the day I used to buy it all the time at Shopper's Drug Mart, they had the best cheese onion loaf.

I have a breadmaker but for some reason I can never get the loaves to turn out right, they are always slightly doughy in the middle. I would prefer a recipe that is baked in the oven so I can avoid wasting more bread.

I did a google search and that gave me a lot of raw recipes as well as cheese onion toast recipes (if you can call them that!)

Even if you know of a good base bread recipe where I could just add some Daiya & minced onion would work. I'm just not sure where to start...

Thanks in advance!

I would add to taste to a basic boule, mix in the machine, then shape, rise, bake in oven.

I managed to find the book that came with my bread machine and it had a cheese onion bread recipe. I remember now why my loaves didn't turn out before, the recipes call for skim milk powder and I didn't sub any soy milk powder. I just left it out and added an extra bit of liquid which always resulted in my loaves being undercooked. I am 99.9% sure this loaf is good to go, I took it out of the machine and sliced it open, looks good but just to be sure I put it back in the machine to stay warm and get rid of any excess moisture in the meantime.
