We were at the Japanese market today, and they were having a sale, and I was all, "Oh, that looks like a good idea," so we now have a 2-liter carton of what is almost certainly very mediocre sake in the fridge. (There was a SALE! And this isn't the REALLY cheap stuff, which would have come out to something like 6 bucks for the same size of carton.)
I think I'm going to marinate things in it. Probably tofu to start with-- sake, some kind of citrus (I should have picked up some yuzu!), soy sauce, bake it or fry it or something.
Any other suggestions? I'm certainly going to drink some of it, although I don't think I'll be able to stomach half a gallon of the stuff...

Make a big batch of sushi and invite your friends over to help you drink it! It's probably not bad, and after drinking a bit it will start tasting even better. Maybe better make it a sleep over. You could go with a whole Japanese theme and show some anime too.
