I want to do some sort of puff pastry appetizer for tomorrow. Ideas? Favorites?

At a place I used to work, they did asparagus in puff pastry. I assume they just blanched the asparagus and then wrapped it, then baked. They were totally delicious. They were about the size of the traditional "pig in a blanket". I'm actually gonna try making these tomorrow with crescent roll dough because I didn't want to hunt for vegan puff pastry.
Or maybe spinach artichoke pinwheels!

Oooh, those both sound great and easy.

I've had something very similar to the asparagus wrapped in puff pastry, but with a layer of cream cheese (with chives, I think) inside the pastry too. It was so, so good.

I made mushroom arugula pinwheels last year. I think I put nooch in them, and some sort of nut, maybe almonds? One year I had sheese so put some of that in with the mushroom and greens.

Last year I made some delicious squash filled triangles. They were a hit. I used finely diced butternut squash sauteed with caramelized onions, sage, red pepper flakes, and some other random spices until it tasted good, and added a smear of cream cheese to the pastry before filling.

The tempeh sausage puff pastry thingies in VB are delish. I've made them twice in the last month and everyone (who's been willing to try them... omnis can be funny about tempeh since it's hard to describe it in an appetizing way) has loved them.

There's a great and super easy puff pastry pesto pinwheel recipe in La Dolce Vegan. Basically roll out your standard-sized package of puff pastry (you can also use crescent roll dough, though I've only ever used puff pastry for this) and spread about 1/2 cup of your fave pesto on it roll it up and bake it. I really liked it though the original recipe needs tweaking in oven temp and baking times if I remember correctly.
