Anyone using this? http://www.coconutsecret.com/aminos2.html It's soy free & gluten free

I picked it up over the summer, and have been adding it sparingly to curries and marinades. I have a few soy and gluten free friends and I try to make an accommodating dish at potlucks and parties. It's really light tasting. I used it once for the 'salt factor' in a tofu marinade and you could hardly taste it at all.

Never seen it, but it seems really interesting! Do you mean it doesn't actually have a soy sauce flavor or that you need to use a lot of it?

hmmm, I mean it smells like a coconut braggs-ish concoction, but it doesn't really taste like much, even if you use a lot. I used a fair amount in the marinade for this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jdfunks/4818737208/ and you could barely taste the 'saltiness'. for better or worse!

I use it a lot and really like it! It's expensive though. For a soy-free high protein pizza topping, make some hemp-fu and mix it up with a good amount of coconut aminos.

Damn, I was hoping it was awesome.
I'd really like to find a soy sauce replacement.

I like it. It's not very salty though, so you might have to add sea salt if you're hoping for that salty factor of soy sauce.

yes, please.

it seems like it has potential - maybe they'll work on the recipe? or someone else will start to toy with it?

I like it but it doesn't seem to keep as well as regular tamari, it get stinkier and thicker. But I still use it.

In recipes I've use a combo of lemon juice and salt to get a similar effect as soy sauce.

I saw it at Whole Foods last summer and wanted it but remember it being too expensive - how much is it there now? I forget.

It was $6 at our health food store, so we tried it out. It honestly didn't taste like too much in our stir fry. It tastes okay on its own.

I find that if I put this in something, I can't taste it at all. It was totally delicious when added to fried rice at the table, though.
