Have some tofu and am trying to think of something mildly exciting to do with it besides broil it with tamari. We are having it with a ton of roasted roots, radicchio and brussel sprouts.

I like to make tofu loaf. It's not exciting, but it's a good comfort food on a chilly night. I use the neat loaf recipe from Cooking with PETA.

I need this thread too. I have 3 blocks of very nice quality tofu to use up this week. I will make tofu scramble with one of them, but need ideas for the other two.
It is extra firm Twin Oaks tofu, so it will work in all the recipes that I never make because they suck with supermarket tofu, but now I'm stumped. Too many options in my cookbooks.

you could do some backyard bbq sauce and a quicky coleslaw, cube up your tofu a la veganomicon - throw the whole yummy mess on a bun. I'm drooling.

If you have Madhur Jaffrey's World Vegetarian, the recipe for Garlic Ginger Bean Curd is really good and SO simple. I don't have it in front me right now buuuut it's basically:
2 tbsp peanut oil 1 lb tofu, cubed 1 tsp powdered ginger 1 tsp powdered garlic 2 tbsps soy sauce 1 tbsp nooch
Heat the oil over and fry the tofu for 5-10 minutes (stirring occasionally) until browned. Add the ginger, garlic, soy sauce. Lower the heat and cook for a couple more minutes. Turn off the heat and stir in the nooch.
It doesn't sound like much, but it's really freaking tasty. You can make it with about half as much oil and it's fine, too.

Marinade it in lemon juice, garlic and lots of black pepper, then bake it. My omni flatmate loves this. It's nice with roast potatoes.
