I am waiting for a batch of tempeh bacon (VB) to hurry up and marinate. I have an avocado, arugula, peppadew on an English muffin sandwich planned.
Other than eating it straight out of the storage container in the fridge, what else do you do with tempeh bacon? I will make some tofu scramble for dinner tomorrow, but I always feel like I could be more creative with this stuff.
Ideas? (If you haven't yet made this recipe--make it! Super easy and so yummy. It is the VWaV recipe tweaked a bit).

You should fry the tempeh bacon in a good amt of oil before eating it. (Forgive me if I'm telling you something you already know - it just seemed from your post that it was not your intention to cook it first...)
Anyway, you can do a lot of stuff with tempeh bacon, besides a sandwich - put it on pizza with pineapple; crumbled on a green salad, or on broccoli salad; crumbled on a baked potato with nooch and olive oil/margarine... The list goes on.

i had this awesome salad at Vita Cafe in portland so i'm trying to replicate it. i'm making brown rice (instead of red quinoa) to go in it with currants, pumpkin seeds, lemon tahini dressing, the tempeh bacon and hummus instead of guacamole.
but the health food store didn't sell liquid smoke so i bought packaged smoked maple-bacon tempeh >:]

You can buy tempeh bacon, but I've never tried it. This is Isa's recipe, using a block of plain tempeh, from Vegan Brunch (which is a tweak of the recipe from Vegan With a Vengeance).

I second the pizza topping recommendation, though I've never tried it with pineapple (usually I have it with spinach and/or mushrooms).
I have to admit that I tend to buy the fakin' bacon in the package, though, since they do a better job of slicing thinly than I do and it doesn't cost much more than a package of plain tempeh anyway.

Mmm, tempeh bacon. Lavawitch, I totally assumed you were going to eat it uncoiled as well, I thought you were going to sneak some fromthe marinating container as you were about to cook it 'cause I would totally do that.
