Just look at this Caesar salad Brutha's Badass Caesar Salad. It's a bowl made of crouton!

Image

Am I crazy, or should a good Caesar salad have a crouton:romaine ratio of 1:3? This is a straight up 1:1 ratio.

Also, you can see the full menu in its over-excited, brotastic entirety here: http://vegas.eater.com/archives/2014/04 ... en-bar.php

Apropos, I think "tatted-up turkey burger" is a great insult.

This is still my favorite review of Guy Fieri's restaurant in New York. It sounds like he took the complaints about the low croutons in his salad count to heart!

A crouton bowl sounds brilliant to me.

Here's an item-by-item rundown of his menu, though:

+1 yummy

This is the first time I've ever wanted to try something Guy Fieri ate or made.

that lettuce isn't even edible. it's HUGE. what are you supposed to do with that shiz?

also, i'm pretty sure the words "smear" and "donkey sauce" should never be included near food.

That salad does not look good, but crouton bowl sounds genius. Croutons are my favorite salad ingredient. I buy them at Costco!

Oh, I read that yesterday. The thing that really struck me about it wasn't the ridiculousness of any one item on it but the incredible blandness/lack of innovation across the whole thing. Maybe if I put this in an "awesome pretzel" bun it won't be like the most mediocre half-assed thing a "chef" could possibly make.

That's what I was wondering. They're full leaves. And though a crouton bowl in theory sounds ok, I feel like eating it would be difficult. You'd try to cut into it and half would go flying across the room with one of the romaine leaves and stick someone in the eye who would then sue you for mental distress cause they thought Swamp Thing was attacking them.

His real menu isn't too far off from the parody that was going around recently.

It took me a couple of entries before I realized that was the parody...

I couple of months ago, I found a vegan blogger veganizing Guy Fieri's recipes. I bookmarked that thing post-haste, even though Fieri is a jackdonkey (as my kid would say, before he was allowed to swear freely at home). I think it's the abundance of buffalo sauce that makes the blog so appealing to me.

I do too. My dad liked him, so we watched DDandD together. And it turned out that I actually kind of love that show. And now that my dad is gone, I have a sentimental attachment as well!

I hate him so so SO MUCH, like, I cannot overstate it, even before I knew he was a sexual harasser and homophobe, but I love diner-style Americana food like whoa. And we joke, in my house, that I start going through withdrawals if I don't have a weekly infusion of Buffalo wing sauce.

Missmuffcake, I added your blog to my feedly!

Yeah, his dickery isn't just an act:

http://gawker.com/5850521/guy-fieri-acc ... iking-gays

But I like him in the same way that I like Juggalos, they are bizarrely entertaining just by being themselves. Plus I like DD&D because my mom used to take me to hole-in-the-wall truck stops all the time and I miss that greasy asparagus food.

While "meat blanket" is probably the grossest description of food ever printed on a menu, it is what I'm going to be referring to my vagina as from here on out.

Aww thanks!

In Guy's honor at least he has a veg item in all his places in memory of his sister.

Yes, this. He's fascinating in the way a brightly-colored strange creature is when you're on vacation in another country.

As ridiculous as he is, I can't fully hate him because he so strongly resembles my friend's little brother (although little bro is way less douchey) and there's a part of me that can't separate them in my head.
