Taste it and report back! I've never seen that, but I'm very curious. I love sunflower seed butter, but it has such a strong taste and is very dark. I'm having trouble imagining how sunflower seeds could make a good milk. Where did you find it?

They do! I often make my own milk and cream from sunflower seeds.

I saw a different brand and tried the unsweetened/orig/and vanilla. The vanilla was pretty sweet and decadent. The unsweetened was comparable to almond breeze, I think. It was also on sale for 1.50 so that helped!

Mine was bright green, so I was a little shocked when I poured it the first time, but its okay-tasting. I try not to drink soy-based milks, so this is a good option.

Is it supposed to be green?

Aww man, I dance around happily getting milky goodness from an almond and now I find out I've been one-upped?! Does it taste better than cashew milk? I find that stuff tastes nasty.

I feel vindicated! Actually, I'm disappointed. I wanted to hear about how amazing it was. What is gross about it? Flavor, texture, color, smell?

it tastes exactly like a sunflower seed, but liquefied. imagine peanut milk. so gross. texture and color are ok. the smell and flavor are bad.

Bummer. I was excited, but I guess you saved me some money should I ever find this.
Does it have a rich flavor? Maybe it would at least be good for baking or frosting?

Just bought some sunflower milk! Its "Sol" by Sunrich Farms. Haven't tasted it yet. I use milks more for smoothies and baking then drinking straight but I'm tempted to take a swig now that its chilled...

I like it. I had the Sol unsweetened. It was kinda gray, which isn't appealing. But I drank peanut-flavored soy milk at lunch today, so peanut milk sounds good to me.

my partner and i saw it in the grocery store. we stood facing the display and then she turned to me and shook her head solemnly and said, "they've finally gone too far...they've just gone too far".

I tried it..I liked it. Texture-wise I felt it had a nice thickness/creaminess and I didn't find the sunflower seed taste too overpowering. I got Sol Unsweetened. I think it would be good for baking or for use in creamy things that will be strongly flavored.

I don't get why sunflower seed milk is weird but soy and almond milks aren't. I understand that flax milk and potato milk are odd. But I often sub sunflower seeds in recipes for other nuts, so why not in plant milk?

I'm guessing that if I find soaked, blended sunflower seeds a little on the grassy side, I won't be a fan of sunflower seed milk. Peanut milk sounds good though and I need to make some more sesame milk out of tahini ASAP.

For some reason, this is making me laugh really hard.

How do you do that?! Just add water, or what?

Yep, just spoon some tahini into a container, add water (and sugar if you want) and stick in an immersion blender for a few seconds. It tastes like sesame but I like it for drinking straight. I haven't experimented with whisking a small amount of water into tahini with a fork and then adding more liquid when it's smooth, but I'd imagine it's doable.
