Capers. Every time I buy olives I see the capers on the shelf next to them and I want to buy a jar but I just don't like them for some reason. Which is weird because I generally LOVE everything pickled, salty, intense and weird-tasting but capers... just no. Blah.

Baked beans. It would make getting a vegan option in some shiitake places so much easier. But I just can’t… the smell the ugghhh gaaag!

Eggplant. I hate everything about it, the taste, the texture...ugh.

Thought about this more...

Things I hate: Eggplant, baby corn, water chestnuts, hard liquor, horseradish/wasabi, marmite
Things that I used to hate that are growing on me: tempeh, tahini (and consequently any hummus that is generous with tahini), ginger, nutritional yeast, capers, quinoa
Things that I used to love that I like less now: sweet potatoes, pumpkin, butternut squash

Asparagus. Don't know why but I just can't stand it.
Not a huge fan of butternut squash either

Ditto. It is such a pretty vegetable, I'm sad that I don't like to eat it. Or smell it.

Jelly or anything with cream filling (pastries, doughnuts). I LOVE the way pastries look, they're so delicate and cute. But when I bite in, bleaughhhhhhh. The creamy yuckiness mixed with the sooooo sweet flavor kills me. As a kid I once cried when my mom made me eat cake, we were at a family birthday and she thought it was rude for me not to. And. I. Cried.

Brussels sprouts and radishes. And brownies. I have no idea how I can love chocolate cake so much, yet hate brownies.

Avocados. Hate hate hate. I wish I didn't, but I've pretty much given up. They taste like slimy eggs to me.

Pickles :( I have always loved the way they smelled and want to like them but vinegar is my enemy. i hate it and anything that its in. i cannot stand the taste of it. condiments, salad dressing, mayo, pickles, anything with vinegar, i cannot even choke it down :( umeboshi plum vinegar being the exception but that is more salty and sour than vinegary.

Orgran Self Saucing Pudding Mix. I really wanted to like it but it was like doughy chocolate custard and way too sweet.

Olives. So many fancy, delicious sounding things involve olives. But they're such a huge no-go for me.

I am also not a fan of rosemary, it tastes like mould to me.

I definitely agree about the olives. Whenever I have tasted them I kept thinking I must be eating car tyres

Oats. I keep hearing about how healthy and comforting they are for breakfast, but eating them feels like such a chore.

I'm sad about the olive hate though- which ones have you tried? I'm not really a fan of the jarred ones, but I can't get enough deli counter olives.

Those in the jars. I may have to try the deli ones.

Also I just remembered Quinoa. Can't stand it

I dislike the vast majority of dishes that could be described as "sweet and savory." Anything agave-glazed (or honey-glazed in my pregan days), foods prepared with sweet barbeque sauces (especially baked beans), grains and proteins cooked with fruit or fruit-based glazes, sweet potatoes, yams, and the like are abominable. Much to the dismay of my sweet, ultra-southern grandmother, who loves nothing more than a sugar-drenched supper.

Ooh, I'm with you on that. In my omni days, one of the worst things was the combination of meat and fruit. I can eat sweet potatoes in a dessert pie, but I don't like them at all as part of dinner. I'm okay with BBQ sauce and the occasional sweet-ish Asian sauce, but those are rare exceptions.

Soy yoghurt, I think it's such a great idea, yoghurt, but not from cows milk.
The first time I've tried I trew it away because I thought it had gone bad.
But now I know it's really supposed to taste like that, and I really do not like it.
It's weird because I do love regular yoghurt, I do want to try other types of vegan yoghurt but it's hard to find those here in the Netherlands.

Seitanicverses, you have seitan in your name but you don't like it?!
Do you like kale in non-chip form?

^ I named myself before realizing I dint like seitan. I didn't mind seitan when I first turned vegan. I don't hate seitan, but I'm very particular about how it's used because I really don't like it much but need alternate protein sources sometimes. I can't have a sammich made of seitan meat, for example, or a slab of seitan on my plate like it's a chop, or something because that's too much seitan for one go. It needs to be heavily cooked, seasoned, sauced and sort of hidden for me to like it at most somewhat.

Yes, I like kale in non-chip form.
