veggie galaxy mushroom-chickpea burgers (http://projects.washingtonpost.com/reci ... a-burgers/), corny cobs, jerk asparagus! I'm really excited to test out that burger recipe; I've had 'em in the restaurant, and now I get to have 'em in my home! woo

We had an early dinner where I tried to use a bunch of the farmers market produce from last weekend (company in town and lots of dining out): cheesy grits, roasted asparagus & zucchini, marinated & roasted chiogga beets, crispy, floured tempeh and fava beans.

Hard shell tacos with Boca crumbles heated in taco sauce, and topped with lettuce and diced tomatoes. Super gourmet!

Using-stuff-up Moroccan slow cooker stew over butternut squash, with harissa. Slightly based on VEW The Great Big Cous Cous and a couple other recipes, but mostly just aimed at using up odds and ends in my fridge and pantry.

It turns out the baby bok choi was bug ridden, so we put aside the stir fry plan and had giant cubes of pan-fried tofu in a red curry sauce with jasmine rice.

Pasta tossed with roasted bell peppers, onions, garlic, tomatoes with a romaine salad on the side.

There is NO Swedish Glace left so we shall be happy with eating strawberries & watching Wimbledon.

Isa's Lentil & Rice soup with wonderful bread brought to us from a tiny village bakery in Norfolk by a pal who was there earlier in the day.

a chilly, dull summer here (despite seeing some sunshine at Wimbledon)

for pudding Creamy Coconut Pie from How It All Vegan finishing my graham crackers that a friend brought me from Canada since for some unknown reason we do not have them here in the U.K.

Anne (pleased that U.K. customs did not seize them as a threat to national security)

A soup-y berbere spiced play on an Ethiopian wat with quinoa (I am out of red lentils!), garlic scapes, braising greens, scallions, and tomatoes and the injera I froze ages ago which I think will be okay.

We had baked chickpea-basil patties, creamy mashed potatoes (with poached garlic I had forgotten about in the fridge) and side salads.

Working another wedding tonight and I know the caterers very well, so it'll be green salad, roasted rosemary potatoes, and fruit salad. It could be worse, but sigh.

pasta with 'meat' sauce and garlic bread. it is another vet day, so i usually make pasta or pizza (mar loves it, get a kitty portion - approved by the vet) to cheer mar up...plus it is sub-q night...double cheer up!
