Some unusually shaped round flat pasta, in a sauce made of tomatoes and fresh herbs from my garden; fennel, lentil, and tempeh stuffed portabelloes; and broccoli.

Okra gumbo from the PPK blog (but with pinto beans instead of chickpeas). We were given lots of homegrown okra and tomatoes and are trying not to let them go to waste.

risotto with broad beans (I love the brilliant green colour they have without their skin), a punnet of goodness only knows what kind of mushrooms, shallots and spices yet to be decided ...

vanilla Swedish Glace for pudding, grapes on the side ...

Tonight, I am going to make the Manzana Chili Verde from V'con. I realized that I'm in a TOTAL cooking rut and I'm so bored of everything I'm cooking. I'm allotting myself to purchase AFR, and I went through what I own already to make new things. I have a huge list from V'con and Urban Vegan...I want to cook so much from UV, I just never have.

a chestnut pie ... wanting to use up some dried chestnuts I found in the pantry ... I will saute them with shallots, mushrooms, red wine, mustard & some parsley then bake with a puff pastry lid ... will serve with green beans ...

oh, the chestnuts are at home (I am at work) soaking after being boiled a bit this morning with a bay leaf and some rosemary plucked from the garden ...

we will drink the rest of the red wine ...

I've not cooked from it before, but have made a few things this week and they have all been great. Tonight I had the Vegetable Minestrone
