Chickpea flour omelette with sautéed peppers, onions and tomatoes with a generous splashing of hot sauce. And toast.

Much toast lately.

we were out very late last evening so rose later ... my husband made breakfast ... he took one of the frozen pizza bases I made ages ago topped it with tomato paste-y sauce I frozen just as long ago, sun-dried tomatoes, olives, spinach, chopped slices of tinned pineapple finished with lots of nutritional yeast & fresh basil.
There was lovely coffee and a half bottle of fizz that has been sitting in the fridge for ages ...

the sky is clear here today so the sun is beaming down ... it is all good.

What a nice breakfast to wake up to!

I'm eating leftover Chinese sticky rice with tempeh sausage, topped with lots of shredded cabbage and cilantro.

Scrambled Chickpea from IDI (cold), potatoes, fried mushrooms, onions & tomato. If there is any ketchup in work I will squirt some of that on as well

This morning I made spicy breakfast polenta with sweetcorn kernels and chopped up bits of Italian-style sausage thrown in. Mostly because I had no fresh food in so it was a raid-the-cupboard-and-see-what-happens kinda breakfast. T'was good!

I concur!

Breakfast for me was red river cereal topped with raspberry applesauce, sliced strawberries, hemp seeds, coconut and a sprinkling of cocoa nibs. And a soy latte. Delicious!

ETA: I just realized Red River Cereal is a regional thing so some might be unfamiliar. It's a hot cereal made of cracked rye, cracked wheat and flax. Old fashioned porridge.

I had a toasted English muffin spread with "hazelnut peanut butter", and green grapes. I normally despise peanuts, but I can't taste them in this. It's a mix of hazelnuts, peanuts, sunflower seeds and some other stuff, purchased at the farmers market. I got to try a sample or I wouldn't have bought it. It is so so good. All I taste are the hazelnuts.

Chickpea omelette with salsa and a couple pieces of sesame tempeh I got on clearance. My local grocery store carries the marinated tempeh strips by turtle island foods, but no plain tempeh. The seasoned stuff is ok but I want plain stuff darn it!
