i'm housesitting for my friend for a week & he told me i can use his kitchenaid and all of the fun attachments! he has the ice cream bowl, the pasta maker, a meat grinder (ew), and maybe some others? i am really excited and overwhelmed by the possibilities and i don't know what i should make first!

I do bready things or icing/frosting occasionally, but I use that shiitake for mashed potatoes all the time.

The pasta attachment is pretty fun. I'd do that and some ice-cream if I where you. In real life I mostly use mine to mix bred dough and other more mundane things, but if you only have access for a little while, do the fun stuff!

If he's got the pasta roller and ravioli press you could make a butt-load of ravioli. It's one of those things that never seems worth doing to me in small batches but you can freeze a bajillion and eat well forever.

Yes yes. Ravioli but make sure you'll really like the filling because I made weird filling once and it was not a hit.

I've never done it, but I've always wanted to try making sprouted wheat bread using a meat grinder. When I've tried to grind sprouted wheat in my food processor, I'm afraid it's going to burn the motor out, and I've read that a meat grinder is supposed to work well.
