I just had to report because it was awesome! I was at my fairly crappy Kroger on Wednesday and noticed three packages of tofurkey "turkey" slices on sale for 99ยข per package. They don't expire until March. I asked why they were marked down ($2.99 regularly), and the guy said they got them accidentally (normally just carry light life) so he marked them down to get rid of them. I have four kids and a hungry husband so they won't last long but wahoo! Rejoice with me vegans!
Anyone else get any lucky deals lately?

Wow, I'd buy them out of stock. I love Tofurky slices. I found Boca vegan burgers and chick'n patties at Target for $2.99 over the weekend. They're like $4 or $5 a box at WF, so I bought one of each.

You can really luck out at Kroger sometimes! Some of the Krogers in my area have started carrying Daiya, which is neat. They are getting increasingly veg-friendly. I think my best bit of luck there was when they wanted to stop carrying Annie's BBQ sauce so they were selling it for $1 a bottle, and I think it's usually around $4.

I picked up 4 packages of EB shortening on super cheap, I think they were like $1.50 each, quite a bit cheaper than my store carries them for. I realized when I got home that they would all expire shortly and emailed EB asking if it could be frozen. They emailed me back confirming that it was, and then a few weeks later I got a letter in the mail with EB coupons! So that was EVEN BETTER

Nice! My crazy husband puts SO MUCH EB on everything. We easily go through one a week AND I buy the sticks for baking. I keep telling him it's not cheap!
