Hey all - I know we've had threads on here before about vegan options at coffee chains (like I remember there were a bunch of the freddos at Peet's that are vegan if you get soymilk, and likewise some things at Starbucks that are vegan when made with soy) and I'm trying to hunt down info for pumpkin spice lattes or blended coffee like a Freddo or Frappuccino.
I checked at Starbucks, and the pumpkin spice syrup has dairy in it, so that's no good. I've been Googling for Peet's info, but can't find it. I don't want to wait in a long morning line, ask for ingredients, and find out I can't have it, so I figured I'd ask here...
Does anyone know of any chain coffee stores (including Peet's) that has vegan pumpkin spice latte options?

I don't know of any chains, but I found some recipes online and I'm actually going to try one in the next couple days. Not the ideal solution for a rushed morning, but I really miss those lattes!

Easy solution: buy a small bottle of DaVinci pumpkin spice syrup at the grocery store (I've seen it even in small stores), and bring a few tablespoons to add into a soy latte.

Didn't mean to make a bad suggestion. Maybe I should try one of the online recipes then? There could be hope.

I saw someone the other day drinking a pumpkin spice frapp and it blew my mind. Come ON Starbucks: veganize that shiitake already.

Davinci syrups sometimes have a weird chemical taste, especially the sugar-free ones.

Peet's is vegan! They did change the recipe this year (and it tastes way better) so I was a little worried that they added dairy. They let me look at the syrup and unless there is something unusual under "natural flavors" they are still totally vegan.

Since pumpkin is fairly flavorless, it is really the pumpkin pie spice that gives it the flavor. Have you just tried mixing coffee, pumpkin pie spice and soy/almond/whatever milk along with a little sweetener?

This thread inspired, or rather reminded, me to check if there is anywhere in the UK selling pumpkin spice syrup. There is but not only that, they have speculoos syrup! Speculoos hot chocolate, latte or mocha, anyone?! It's my birthday tomorrow so I might have to treat myself to a bunch of syrups! Yay, caffeine and sugar!! ू(◍ ›◡ु‹ ◍ ू)

So anyway - I used to be able to handle a shiitake load of caffeine - now I cannot...I used to make this black tea spice - coffee - soy creation...a caffeine bomb...I would brew one cup of strong coffee, while it was super hot I would seep a spiced tea bag in it, take the tea bag out and add flavored soy milk... This would work for a pumpkin latte if you have pumpkin spiced tea...I just picked up Republic of Teas seasonal pumpkin tea at Cost Plus! You may want to steam some vanilla soy milk with pumpkin pie spice and add it to you cof-tea mix! :)

I think there needs to be a petition for Sbux to change the base on these so they are vegan just like the frappacino's!
Actually I just read in the paper today that people are taking to Dunkin Donuts pumpkin flavored coffee because it is cheaper and less calories. So you could get that and add soy creamer to it and maybe some cinnamon. Or if you bought a bag of the coffee for home you could add it to steamed soy milk and then sprinkle in some pumpkin pie spice!

Rumor has it that the Whole Foods pumpkin spice latte is vegan (aka, a PPKer mentioned it either here or on facebook and I'm drawing a blank to the particulars.) I wonder how the Starbucks VIA pumpkin spice is? I haven't been impressed by the one I tried (got for free).

The Whole Foods coffee shop has vegan pumpkin spice lattes. I asked last time I was there. I don't know how it tastes. I'd already ordered my vanilla when I thought to ask.

For anyone in MI, OH, IN, IL, WI area, Biggby has a pumpkin spice latte that's vegan. It uses a combo of the Monin gingerbread syrup, Monin pumpkin spice syrup and cinnamon. Really good.

Heh! I was just going to bring up the Biggby thing. I work at one and was going to devulge the recipe! (It's a full ammount of pumkin spice syrup, half that of gingerbread, with a dusting of cinnamon). But yeah, the Gingerbread Monin is good, though I find it's best when cut with some vanilla as well, as it tends to be a little overwhelming alone. Also, while the chocolate Biggby uses doesn't say vegan on it, after reading the label many, many times, I have found nothing to indicate that it isn't. (And Biggby doesn't charge for soy. Not bad for a "chain," I suppose)

Yeah, I used to work at Biggby and sometimes got a mocha or mint hot cocoa with that chocolate syrup. I seem to remember that the chai syrup was vegan too. Or does it have honey?

How about Panera? They have a pumpkin spice latte. It does have "natural flavors" listed as a syrup ingredient but could be worth investigation.

Ooohhh. I wanna know if I can buy Dunk's beans out here. I could go for some pumpkin spice beans for my morning coffee!
I'm psyched about the Peet's. I'll also have to try the one at Whole Foods. Vegan pumpkin spice latte Thunderdome!
Thanks, y'all. The PPK is the best!
