So I have a good chocolate vegan cake recipe, but I need some inspiration on frosting and how to decorate. It is going to be for a family halloween party/mom's birthday cake. I don't have any vegan baking books. Any ideas? I need it for next Sunday. I got the honor of baking because for my daughter's 2nd birthday I turned the Chloe's Kitchen Chlostress cupcakes into a cake, and it was a hit.

make sugar cookies like tombstones and have them sticking out... or make little gingerbread men and decorate them like mummies and skeletons and have them on top or do the tombstones and the mummies and have oreo cookie "dirt" around the base of the mummies, like they are zombies breaking up out of the soil Do a round cake and frost the whole thing orange and decorate it like a jack o lantern face or do it like a green frankentstein head with cupcake "bolts" coming out the sides
have fun! decorating cakes is the best part!

Thanks! I was thinking about a Graveyard Cake and using Oreos, because I remember seeing those as being vegan, and I believe made in a factory without peanuts. We have a peanut allergy kid in the family so I try to be considerate by reading all ingredient packages. And I don't make our peanut butter the same day as the cake so I can say my cake was made in a house without having used peanuts that day:)
I have done a chocolate cake with spider web design before and then used a Vanilla Wafer for the spider body (not sure if those are vegan, probably not).
And I have done a pumpkin bundt cake before, but maybe the round cake with the face design would be different and cool. I will have to look for a white frosting recipe, vegan of course. I can't get enough of Chloe's Kitchen chocolate cake, which is what I will use no matter what cake I decide on.
