We're having Mother's Day festivities at my apartment this weekend, and I'm looking for delicious appetizer ideas. I work during the day, and then I think we'll have appetizers and cake. Probably the yogurt pound cake from VCON.
I've never made a bunch of appetizers before though, so I'm not sure how many/what kinds to make. We'll want enough to fill up pretty well - instead of dinner. I guess maybe that's more like tapas? I don't know. Anyway, what are your favourites? Bonus points if I can make them the night before and somewhat fancy is nice too.
And what is everyone else doing?

Couple of little dishes of olives, and/or nuts? (For fancier, you could make spiced nuts, or get marcona almonds, etc.) Almost no work for you, kinda fancy, and nice for grazing on.
(I'm not doing anything for mother's day! I don't even know when it is this year!)
