The commons in my city has just recently opened a community cob oven:
http://www.parkoven.ca/. I did the training session last weekend and cooked some focaccia which turned out okay- the oven was too hot but I had to leave so it turned out crispy and a bit burned on the outside but not fully cooked in the middle.
I was wondering if anyone has experience cooking in a similar oven and if you have any tips. People are enthusiastic but we would like to compile a set of tips and recipes.
Next weekend I am planning to do a slow rise no-knead bread and some as-yet-undecided vegetables.
