my work is having a thanksgiving potluck luncheon this friday and my co-workers and i are in charge of sides. the side doesn't necessarily have to be thanksgiving themed, but what recipe would you make to wow 60+ non-vegans?

It isn't a Thanksgiving dish, but chili gets 'em every time in this house.

For a very Thanksgiving side dish, what about candied sweet potatoes made with brown sugar and Earth Balance, topped with Dandies marshmallows! Or, a veganized green bean casserole. These dishes will look (and taste) familiar to non-vegans, thus decreasing the possibility that people will get weirded out for no good reason just because something's vegan.

I say stick with stuff that is familiar for thanksgiving. I like to show people that it's not all quinoa and tofu in my house (not all the time anyway haha).
You could do mashed potatoes with lots of earth balance and soymilk, or a green bean casserole made with soy milk. Also, stuffing is pretty easy to make vegan and you can jazz it up with different seasonings, corn bread, or gimme lean sausage! That sausage could fool anyone!

V'con Southwestern Corn Casserole. So good, they will be begging you for the recipe!
