Trevor and I are having difficulties coming to a consensus over the best of the Big 4 Berries (raspberry, blueberry, blackberry, strawberry).

I say it goes strawberry, blueberry, blackberry and raspberry.
He says strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, blackberry.

I think he is crazy because blueberries are clearly superior to raspberries. Raspberries can be too sour.
What say you?

Raspberries are the one thing I will eat a ton of in a one sitting. I wish I had enough money to get raspberries every week in the summer. But I can't afford it. Last summer I picked some at a Pick your Own, I ate a whole quart in one sitting (and then my tummy hurt :( )

This is hard. For example, strawberries can be amazing, but when they are disappointing, I think they are the worst. And I feel like I get disappointing strawberries and blueberries more often than blackberries or raspberries (which I think has to do with the fact that I can only afford the latter two fresh when they are in season.)

So, based on the quality of berries I am able to get, I would say: raspberry, blackberry, blueberry, strawberry. Or maybe strawberry, blueberry.

Again, this is hard. I love berries.

This is a very hard and important dialogue, but the answer is obviously:

1. Raspberries
2. Strawberries
3. Blueberries
4. Blackberries

Glad I could help!

I'm not a huge berry fan, so I'll vote for Molly. She has strong opinions on this issue.

Blueberry, raspberry, strawberry, cranberry, blackberry

I think I may have to side with Trevor in on this one. Strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, blackberry.

But also, I feel like my answer changes depending on the application. Fresh? On oatmeal? In baked goods? As a jam? My answer changes slightly depending. The answer I listed is for fresh.

I don't see why there has to be a fight.
I love them all equally. My opinion goes like this:
Whatever is perfectly ripe, everything else.

Strawberry, blackberry, blueberry, raspberry. I don't really care for raspberries, and only like blueberries when they're almost overripe/mushy (same goes for bananas).

1. Blackberries (preferably Marionberries)
2. Raspberries
3. Strawberries

Blueberries are terrible nightmare orbs from hell and do not deserve a place on this list.

Fresh: strawberry, blueberry, blackberry, raspberry (I find the texture of fresh raspberries to be off-putting)
In baked goods: blueberry, raspberry, blackberry, strawberry

Well, 'raspberry' no longer looks like an intelligible word after reading all of that.

And my order is: blueberry (there are never little bugs hiding inside of just picked blueberries, they are not messy, they freeze so well, their season is loooong!), raspberry, strawberry, blackberry. Blackberries are ubiquitous in my city, they take over any untamed space, so I perceive the other berries as being harder to get and thus more valuable. Raspberries and strawberries are sort of tied.

If they're local and in season:
Raspberry
Strawberry
Blueberry
Blackberry

If they're from a million miles away in the grocery store:
Raspberry
Blueberry
Blackberry
Strawberry

This.

The others are all delicious and I don't think I could rank them. But blueberries are vile and should be banished from the face of the earth.

Hey, wow! I didn't think I'd find another blueberry-disliker... They're so popular. :P

Ooooh. A good strawberry is the best thing ever. Hands down. A mediocre strawberry is a heartbreak. But assuming it's good...

1. Strawberries
2. Blackberries (too many great memories of picking them straight off the bush as a kid and eating them not to rank high)
3. Raspberries
4. Blueberries. (I love blueberries in baked goods...ie. blueberry muffins for the win, but as a raw, snack-able berry, I find them the least exciting.
