we're supposed to be going to a friend's house for NYE and the friend eats gluten free. she's not a vegan or a veg but she is GF. i dont think she has a serious allergy but i know she feels better eating GF. my point being she may cheat once in a while im not sure.
this is what im planning on bringing:
a bundt cake (totally full of glutens, i will tell her)
no queso quesadillas from Vegan Table: ingredients: hummus tortillas (i bought corn tortillas are these GF?) scallion salsa
spinach-artichoke dip from Chloe's Kitchen
onion garlic crushed red pepper spinach soft tofu lemon juice basil salt pepper canned artichoke hearts nooch
that seems GF to me??? i also bought tortilla chips to eat it with but im guessing she has some sort of GF cracker thing.

I'd make sure they are 100% corn tortillas. Being GF is like being vegan, store bought food has sneaky ingredients and you have to look at the labels to be certain.

not all corn tortillas are gluten free, you'd just need to check the ingredients. To make them less dense, many add white flour to them.

Omygosh, sorry, I didn't mean to mislead, I'm GF and I've never run across a corn tortilla with gluten ingredients yet! Those sneaky mustards!

I'm not GF but I prefer corn tortillas that are just corn. They are actually hard to find for me. WFs has them as well Trader Joe's.

these are the ingredients for the corn tortillas:
white corn masa flour and then a whole bunch of big long words like "carboxymethyl cellulose"

LisaPunk - that's some gluten-free yumminess go'n on there. the corn tortillas sound just fine.
i know you said your friend doesn't have a serious allergy, but should you ever run into anyone who does, if/when using nooch a good measure is to make sure it's not from a bulk bin. sometimes they switch around the bulk bins without thoroughly cleaning them and the last bulk item in them could have been glutenous. totally not a big deal in this case, i just thought i'd mention it should you ever hook someone who's uber sensitive to gluten up with some eats.
i love that you're making some tasty gluten-free items to bring. you are the best!
