we are going on vacation and coming home Christmas eve, and just realized I won't have time to make Christmas cookies when we get home for the kids to leave out Christmas eve. Anyone have a really good cookie recipe that freezes well ( nut free please). We usually make a lot of the shortbread from Vegan Cookies invade the Cookie Jar and vary the decorations, but have never froze them! Thanks :)
Most if not all cookies freeze quite well. I would recommend just going ahead and making what you usually make. The ginger bread cookie and chocolate chip recipes posted here on the PPK are two of my all time favorites.

Someone else very recently had the same question, so I'm going to close this thread and we can just use the other one as an all purpose cookie freezing thread.
