hi y'all. i'm most likely going to placing an order over the weekend from veganessentials.com
i haven't fully explored the site yet, but i'm wondering besides the butler soy curls, what other pantry/food items do you think i should order? i do have a natural foods grocery store in my town, so i suppose i'm looking for harder-to-find items, like the soy curls, but i'm open to suggestions!
i'm not really interested in suggestions for frozen food items or anything else that would require a "cold pack" to ship.
thanks!

Before you order you may want to sign up for their mailing list. I get emails from them at least once a week it seems, offering some discount or free item with your order that only lasts one or two days. Sometimes you need a code, sometimes not.
ETA: There's one today actually - have at least $15 worth of stuff in your cart, then add Parmela, then use the code "parmela" to get that Parmela free. It's a vegan parmesan cheese sub and doesn't appear to require a cold pack. The code will only work if you use it today, though.

Ha, I forgot to answer your question! These are things I like to order because I can't find them here:
- Massel Better Bouillon "chicken" flavor - it smells weird to me in the can but tastes and smells just like chicken in a recipe that requires a chicken-y broth - White chocolate chips and/or butterscotch chips - The Vegg

I'm going to be watching this thread for ideas because I've been wanting to put in an order for soy curls for some time now. Thanks for the email tip b.vicious!

Would it not be cheaper to order the soycurls directly from butler? Just curious.

Yes, they are at least a dollar cheaper per bag if you buy from Butler, but you have to buy a minimum of 6 bags. Not great for someone lacking the space to store them all, or someone who just wants to try them - it would suck if you bought 6 bags of something you don't like!

I didnt realize there was a minimum, lol, I always buy the 12lb bulk box. I love soy curls :)

I know you said no cold pack, but I usually order some Dr. Cow cheese because I loves it.

thanks, i did some googling and found a 10% off coupon code, i had restraint and just ordered 2 packages of butler soy curls. (i went ahead and ordered before the weekend was up lest they run out of stock again) s/h was $8, yikes, but hopefully it will be worth it! i've heard so many good things about the soy curls and really want to make some kind of "pulled-pork" bbq sandwich for my hubby --- i think the soy curls will be excellent for this. (still afraid to make my own seitan although i don't think seitan is as weird as i used to)
when i have more in the budget i'd definitely like to get the bee free honee and some other things that caught my eye. keep the suggestions rolling in, i can make my own wish list for next time ;)

+1 on the Leahey Gardens stuff. I love the mac and cheese. Probably even more than amy's daiya mac and I'm daiyas biggest fan.

I liked the stroganoff (minds out of the gutter!), didn't really liked the mac and cheese, and threw out the chicken noodle soup without eating it. But all my friends love that mac and cheese. And these really are like kraft in terms of laziness.
