I am making latkes for part of our New Year's Eve dinner and want to serve them with a horseradish sauce. One guest, however, has a soy allergy and all the recipes I've seen are soy based. Does anyone know a good recipe for a soy free version? I don't want anyone to feel left out.

Horseradish sauce is basically ground horseradish in mayo right? I found a non soy vegan mayo recipe, don't know how it tastes: http://www.pennilessparenting.com/2012/ ... -free.html

Do any other vegan milks curdle in lemon juice I wonder? Cashew milk maybe? I have no idea. If they do, then its possible that the oil n curdled whatever blender whipped mayo would work...

It has mayo in it? Maybe just get (or make) "prepared horseradish" which is just ground-up horseradish root and a bit of vinegar or something.

when we eat horseradish, it's usually just in vinegar, as SN just said. what i do, because i'm disgusting, is mix it in margarine. it's awesome and if you don't figure out the cream thing, i suggest it highly.

Thanks for the suggestions! The margarine idea sounds delicious, and I already have soy free EB in the fridge.
