Post Punk Kitchen Forum

So I put off inviting our couple friends over in the summer because I was still newly vegan and not comfortable making dinner for guests. But I finally worked up the nerve to have them over and it is tonight. My menu:

Fresh romaine salad with carrots, radishes, celery, and tomato
Whole Wheat Pasta with homemade Chloe's Kitchen Marinara Sauce
Multi Grain Baguette made into garlic bread
Fresh Green Beans

I have kids so I was going for kid friendly along with Omni-friendly. I am just putting out blue corn chips and salsa for appetizer too. Hopefully that sounds good. I did mention in my email that I was making spaghetti with a homemade meatless sauce so there would be no surprise. Plus I have been meeting my friend for lunch every month or two and she knows I have some health issues that have been relieved by eating vegan foods.

Sounds yummy! You're cooking them some great homemade stuff so there is no reason for them to feel deprived. Let us know how it went :-)

Well it was a success. They really liked the marinara sauce. As a bonus my two little ones actually ate their dinner without too much fuss.
