I DIG Ethiopian food and would love some veganized recipes of a few dishes. Long shot but, anyone here know where to point me? Or do you have any on hand/ have you tried to make these? I am willing to learn.
I sadly don't remember the names of the foods I have tried. There is a spicy yellow and red bean dish, I love, and another with greens also really good. Anyone know?
Thank you!!!

There are lots of awesome Ethiopian recipes in Terry's new book, Vegan Eats World.
I haven't seen it, but Kittee also has an Ethiopian zine that someone else here could probably point you towards.

Okay, I need to get ahold of that. I feel if I can some how master the art of Ethiopian cooking, I will achieve some quantifiable level of culinary bat-assery. Even if its the easiest thing ever, I will feel pretty fancy and smart.
Thanks! The pics posted seem pretty yummy too.

There is nowhere remotely close to us that sells it, and thus far I can't be arsed and serve Ethiopian stuff on couscous or rice instead (which is yummy but Not The Same).

I made all the Ethiopian recipes in Vegan Eats World this weekend and they were awesome! Highly recommend. I couldn't get the injera to work, though, but I'm not good with yeasty stuff so I'm sure it was my fault.

My husband used to work next to an Ethiopian restaurant and market that had awesome injera and I never bothered with it because their food was so good that why would I make it at home? They even had seitan tibs. *cries a little* I swear it's the thing I miss most about DC. Anyway, What everyone else said. I additionally recommend: Daniel Mesfin's Exotic Ethiopian CookingIt is not vegetarian or vegan but has a ton of vegan recipes in it. They tend to be simple recipes, but authentic tasting and so, so good.

If i could buy injera, I'd make ethiopian food way more often, but I just never feel like doing it. and it just feels wrong to have it with rice.
