My boy and i are celebrating Valentine's Day this Sunday cos my roommate will be out of town and we actually have time then. We are making brunch then going to dinner at The Great Sage, which i'm soo excited for. I want to make a super yummy brunch with all kinds of things.
Suggestions? I was thinking the Breakfast Benedict Florentines from Vegan Diner, but i need more things to go along with it.

Heart shaped pancakes! Heart shaped biscuits! (I like making heart-shaped things) also, home fries?

Hmmm, i could make spicy home fries... With lotsa red bell peppers peppers and some cayennes. Do you think i could make home fries with sweet potatoes? I dunno if they'd get crispy, but that sounds like a nice sweet and spicy dish.

Here are some ideas I had: Crepes (ooh, or chocolate waffles! Or french toast!) drizzled with raspberry sauce and some type of cream topping, like rad whip, macadamia cream, coconut cream, etc. A strawberry/raspberry heavy fruit salad How about mimosas made with ruby red grapefruit juice instead of orange? You could also use a strawberry puree, I think. Red flannel hash from Vegan Brunch? The beets turn it purpley/pinky. Maybe a pretty salad with pomegranate arils and candied walnuts or whatever if your brunch will be later and you want to incorporate more lunchy foods Oh, chocolate raspberry muffins! Those are really good and romantic-y, I think. The recipe, I'm almost positive, is in either Vegan Brunch of VWAV.

Ooo, definitely going to make the mimosas with strawberry puree. Grapefruits are one thing i am not a fan of. I found a recipe for ricotta stuffed french toast. I figured i could add some strawberry puree into the filling. If i'm really good i will cut them into heart shapes, too.
I really like the red flannel hash. Beets are one of my favorites cos they make everything so pretty.
Thanks for the help!
