Ugh...I wanted to make Isa's Chocolate yogurt cake for Sunday and I can find a non-dairy yogurt. I can find flavored Silk singles in blueberry and cherry though. Would that work? I think maybe the cherry would work with chocolate, but I don't know. I am going to try Krogers but I heard they stopped selling the yogurts. I have silken tofu and a lemon, can I make a substitute? Tonight I went to the Meijer that is farther away, because they used to sell a big size of vanilla silk yogurt, but I think it was Silk who stopped making that because I can't find it on the website either. I don't have Trader Joe's or Whole Foods in a reasonable distance for me to drive to tomorrow. I am too busy and it is a 45 minute hike.

Silk did stop making plain and vanilla and all large tubs :( :( :( How about making the lower fat chocolate bundt cake from Veganomicon. It's really good and super easy. If you don't have coffee you can just use extra soy milk.

I would use the flavored. Maybe use a smidge less sugar. In a big recipe, the flavor won't make a big difference and a hint of cherry or blueberry shouldn't hurt and might taste nice. I've used flavored yogurt in recipes before, especially the puffy pie dough from the pie book.
Do you have any frozen blueberries or cherries? If so, you could make a fruit sauce/glaze to go with. Or just top with some lovely fresh blueberries.

I don't think I've made this specific cake, but I sub fruit soygurt all the time if it's a (sweet) baking recipe. At worst, you'll have a faint cherry taste to it. So what? It is now chocolate cherry yogurt cake, and doesn't that sound delicious?
SMH for silk cancelling plain 'gurt though. everything else is in smaller tubs and more expensive. i use it for dips and such so i need plain.

It is ok they discontinued it because my store didn't carry it, I had to drive to the farther store. This way I save some gas. Just kidding, it sucks. I am just going to have to drop the $4 on the small 4pk of Silk cherry yogurt. Chocolate cherry sounds awesome. I know how to make a regular vegan chocolate cake, I just really wanted to make this yogurt chocolate bundt cake. Plus I don't have Veganomicon. I looked at it when I was first went vegan and it was overwhelming. I should look at it again and think about buying it now.

Thanks so much! I really need to give that book another look, now that I consider myself a very good vegan cook.
