Is anyone else having a puppy bowl party? I'm trying to think of dog themed foods to serve, and all I can think of is puppy chow (a chex mix made with peanut butter and chocolate). Ideas?

I would totally do this if I had friends who weren't obsessed with the stupid superbowl. Puppy bowl is way better! You could make cookies and use a dog bone shaped cookie cutter to cut them out. And maybe for the dog theme hot dogs or corn dogs?

That sounds fun! Here are my ideas: - Cookies in the shape of Milkbone dog treats (I assume there is a bone-shaped cookie cutter out there somewhere). - Roasted chickpeas that are spiced/marinaded in a way that they turn at least slightly brown (tamari?) as dry dog food ("kibble"). - Snobby Joe's (or something similar) served in breadbowls, to mimic canned wet dog food (beef flavor, perhaps?) in a dog bowl. - Roasted carrots as sticks (like to play fetch with), which might be a reach but I was trying to figure out how to incorporate veggies. - For more veggies, maybe just arrange some raw veggies for dipping in the shape of a paw?

Yes most stores that carry cookie cutters have dog bone shaped ones! You could also cube up tofu ans bake it/slather it with bbq sauce to make Alpo looking food to serve!

serve drinks in bowls. sweet potato snacks primal strips breads that look like rawhides
and make something that looks like poop. (chocolate sugar cookies coiled into a pile?)

OH MY GOD. First of all, this is a genius idea. And secondly, this thread is full of genius suggestions.
Once I went to a place where all the food was served in paper "dog bowls" It was awesome. I wonder if you could find such a thing.

You should invite only dogs.

Google isn't making sense to me on this Puppy Bowl issue. Where can I watch it? Facebbok has also failed me, not you too, PPK!

There is also some way to make a kitty litter cake, which could be a gross addition to your halftime show.

They've been doing it for some years now, so I'd assume there is an internet-watching option, too, somewhere. edit: have you looked here? http://animal.discovery.com/tv-shows/puppy-bowl Not sure if it's just clips/previews or if it'll be on there once it begins.

I don't think animal planet makes it available online, but I just googled "puppy bowl live stream" and there were a bunch of results.

Yep, if you google Puppy Bowl live stream it takes you to the Animal Planet website where they're currently streaming the puppies in the locker room! I really hope it continues during the actual Puppy Bowl!

The Puppy Bowl wouldn't stream here once it actually started. We watched another program about dogs instead though so it was okay!
