I did a search but just got a couple of references to someone's MOFO naan recipe. Not that that doesn't look good, but I wondered if anyone had any other good ideas for it, since the bag I bought for 49p is 100grams/3.5oz. I've got an experimental quickbread in the oven at the moment with about a teaspoon of seeds and some red onion.

tell me bout your quickbread please! i have a bag of panch phoran that needs using, that sounds like a good way of doing it.

Quickbread was
- about 230g self-raising flour
- half a teaspoon salt
- scant teaspoon of kalonji
- just over 1/4 pint water
- splash of oil
- a small chopped red onion

mixed everything apart from the onion into a dough, kneaded in the onion, flattened the dough onto an oiled baking sheet into a rectangle shape (the idea being that it would be a wide ciabatta-type shape I could make into a couple of sandwiches) and baked for about 20 minutes in a moderate oven (180/350ish).

Use it to make your own panch phoran mix.

100 g of kalonji is a lot!

Thanks quagga. Bah, I knew I should have bought fenugreek while I was at it, that's the only spice I'm missing for that recipe.
