I can't save the pic and post it, because it's a flash ad, but Dunkin's apparently serves "sausage pancake bites" now.
I plan to veganize this. If anyone beats me to it, post pics!!

ETA: OK, found a pic of this monstrosity.

It's like those Jimmy Dean pancake and sausage on a stick things.

Just small lengths of soy or seitan sausage dipped in pancake batter and deepfried? I'm not sure you'd get the thickness of those, though.

I bet this tastes like McGriddles. Savoury, greasy, sweet.

I don't think I can eat stuff like this anymore. I used to eat a McGriddle a week until I moved to Scotland. When I came back after 3 years of being away I went straight to McDonalds at 6am (jet lag) and bought one. It was AWFUL.

This would probably be so tasty veganized, with some maple syrup...salty and sweet, yum!

I think it would be awesome. I like to dip my vegan sausage in maple syrup, I like pancakes in syrup, so why not the two together? It's like a breakfast corn dog.... but better.

This kind of thing is (part of the reason) why I love you guys! I saw the ad for these on TV the other day, and my first reaction was, "Someone on the PPK is going to veganize that."

I think they sound good! I'll be trying to veganize this when I get home.

What about putting the batter and sausage in a muffin pan and baking it? Would that get the desired thickness? Would it even cook right? Will Batman be able to get to the Joker in time to save Gotham?

baking? no. you dont belong here!
what about taking a mostly cooked pancake, wrapping it around your apple sage sausage, securing it, battering it, and then deep frying? if I ever get my shiitake together, I may do it. I deep fry for football games and this would go over well.

Perhaps it would work in an ebelskiver or takoyaki pan?

When I saw the ad for these, my first thought was that I should veganize them! But then I realized I wouldn't actually want to eat them. Good luck!

I think that based on this and the other thread about shameful food secrets, we would be good food friends.
