those puffs, man. it's not even fair how good they are. for a while i was only seeing them at whole foods, and i go to whole foods, like, never, so i was keeping things under control well enough. but now they're at the store right up the street--DANGER DANGER [waves cheesey-dust-covered hands over head]

For some reason, I wasn't a fan of the cheesy puffs but that was never my sort of thing.

The cheesy puffs taste just like I remember cheesy puffs tasting when I was a kid. Which probably means my memory is way off. Whatever. I can't wait to get another bag.

They smell really cheesy. I stuck my face in the bag and inhaled and enjoyed it.

I really like the aged cheddar popcorn. White cheddar popcorn is pretty much I grew up on at weekly sleepover parties in the early nineties. I still remember how gross the nintendo controllers would be from our hands.

Yeah I like the white cheddar popcorn best of all, but I haven't found it locally. I am going to Whole Foods tomorrow (I don't usually shop there), so I'm gonna look there. Plus, tomorrow is my birthday, so that is obviously a great reason to eat tons of white cheddar popcorn.

Okay... I love all these. I bought multiple bags of each online a while ago after my vegan co-workers informed me of EB snacks! Those PB popps - delicious! But my all time fave is the puffs. After I ran out of my online order, I found them at my local grocery store recently and bought 10 bags thinking I would keep a bag or two at work for emergency... Didn't work.

Anyway, since I bought so many and ate them in a short amount of time (a week), I noticed some of the bags were more dense/crunchy/not so puffy, while other bags were lighter and a little more cross-between-Tings-and-Veggie-Booty-puffy texture. Both are still good, but the inconsistency is strange.

Since I ate all of the bags and didn't think to take pictures of the differences, I googled to find some pics if they were even available...

The crunchier puffs look like this: http://chowvegan.com/2013/04/11/earth-b ... d-popcorn/

A pic of the puffier puffs here: http://veggie-kids.blogspot.com/2013/03 ... nacks.html

Anyone else get bags with different puff textures? I wonder what causes this...

Yes! I swear, the ones I tried during the products' release were fluffier and I thought they were getting crunchier (which I dug). However, maybe it just has to do with the air in the bag or something because I've had varied 'crunch' in the past couple of bags I've snacked from.

That said, I heart them! I think I'm way more likely to buy the White Cheddar though, because of that Smartpop nostalgia Gabrielle mentioned...

I finally tried the cheese puffs last week. So good. Will definitely be buying those again.

They did not have the cheddar popcorn though. I was sad :(

I should have hijacked the EB car. I am currently puffless.

I wonder if the inconsistencies with the puffs are why they ended up at the dollar store. The ones I just bought from there were the crunchier variety, which I'm totally into, so it's cool.

I have just about devoured an entire bag of the white cheddar popcorn. I really want to try the pb ones but they're over $5 for a little bag and I'm too cheap for that right now.

They started carrying these where I work, and I get a 20% discount there. I love both the puffs and the cheddar popcorn, but usually buy the popcorn because for the same price you get a lot more ounces of cheezyness. However I do freakin love the puffs.

BUT CHECK THIS

My work has started doing this thing approximately twice a month where for three days (fri, sat and sun) they'll put an entire aisle on a 50% off sale. THIS LAST ONE WAS THE CHIPS AILSE. WITH THE PUFFSSSSSSSSS IN ITTTTTTTT.

PS, I also got my 20% employee discount on top of the 50%. Yep.

Score for Mars! Awesome! I hope you bought a life time supply and now have an entire room filed with snacks!

Sadly, no... I felt too self-conscious! I only have seven bags of snack things. :/ Silly move on my part, really. Also, I forgot my backpack today to was limited by bike basket space.

I loved the white cheddar. It was cheezy and salty and popcorny and delicious. I'm going to try the PB ones next. The bag was quite large. It's lasted me awhile.

The inconsistency has been weirding me out too! I am not into the harder ones at all. I love the puffier ones.

Smartfood was like my shiitake back in the day. So I'm really excited to try this. But after seeing the prices (weep!) I'm tempted to just stick to my noochy/onion powdery popcorn. Is it worth it?

I somehow missed these even came out but just happened across the white cheddar puffs at Wegman's last week while looking for camping snacks. OMG soooo good!! I ate at least half a bag. It was like snack heaven. I hadn't even realized how much I missed white cheddar flavor!!

Now I really want to try the cheddar popcorn but I don't think they had it at my wegman's. :-(
