I love the Canadian brand Yoso soygurt, but their cream cheeze is pretty awful. Anyway, I went grocery shopping while hungry and ended up thinking, "mmm, maybe they've changed their formula! I'll give it a try!" nope. So, I have a whole container minus the amount I put on a cracker. The issue is it's too sweet for cream cheese, so I'm thinking a dessert would be good - but there's so many recipes for cheesecake out there that it'd be nice to narrow it down by someone telling me their favourite.
Or, alternatively, other suggestions that sound good. I hate wasting food and can't imagine just throwing it all out.

Mix with some silken tofu and something savory like chives?

In Sweet Vegan there is a recipe for black bottom cupcakes that look lovely and different and would be a good use for too sweet cream cheese. I have been eyeing the recipe for myself for the first part of the cookbook challenge. I'm looking to see if it's shared online anywhere but a non vegan recipe with appropriate egg replacer would probably work fine. Not quite the recipe from the cookbook I don't think but looks good anyway! http://kindly-treading-lightly.blogspot ... cakes.html

I'd make cream cheese frosting. A full tub makes a pretty big batch, but frosting freezes. It'd be handy to have around for impromptu cinnamon rolls or carrot cakes.

i have a sugar cookie recipe that calls for cream cheese. looking online for it, i see almost every sugar cookie recipe has cream cheese. just cut down the sugar in the dough a little if it's super sweet.

Cream cheese swirl brownies! I use the deluxe cocoa brownies (doubled) from VCIYCJ, then the cream cheese topping recipe (minus chocolate chips) and swirl it in rather than just spreading it on top. Nom.

I've made black bottom cupcakes a lot and they are super delish! Also the brownie swirl idea sounds great!

Use it to make pumpkin ice cream.

I think I'm gonna go with the cream cheese swirl brownies! I've got everything for those and I think this cream cheese would be best masked in a sweet application. Thanks so much!

I bought that once too, PP. Ugh, not cream cheese! I made frosting with it and put it on a carrot cake that I *had* to make to go with the frosting, so it wasn't a total loss :-)

How is that even a product that is sold?! It's horrible! And furthermore, why won't Real Canadian Superstore get Tofutti?
The brownies were a success! I used poopie's method and they were great. Not a loss!
