does anyone know of good round-ups from the Natural Products Expo West from vegan bloggers? I've been searching but my skills are off today.

I think the new vegan snack box trend is super cool. Guess that started last year though, but maybe it'll really take off this year? Also, these: http://vegancuts.com/offer/dang-coconut-chips Coconut chips! They were so surprisingly delicious amazing crunchy salty sweet toasty wonderfulness!

Biggest let down when I first went vegan, read online, not realizing it was an american site I was looking at, that oreos were vegan. I went to the shop, read the packet and collapsed in the biscuit isle and cried.

My favorite new (to me) recipe is the Ugandan Peanut Stew in Vegan World Feast. I'm blissed out every time I eat it. I always use soy curls and I add a ton of kale or collards to it. It's amazing over noodles or rice. Hell, it'd probably be good on cardboard.

I'll have to give them a try!

Speculoos has a chocolate version. It says "new" on the jar, but I'm not sure when it first came out.

Some more ideas... 1 - jackfruit, done BBQ style mostly. VEW has a recipe but have not tried it yet. I also have a crab cake recipe with jackfruit on my hit-list 2- ecookbooks. I never thought I'd like them but they are very useful for searching for specific ingredients and are usually cheaper. I still love leafing through real books, though. Even better when I can take ecookbooks out from my library! No fines, too, because they automatically get returned, ha!) 3- recipes on my android. i love cheftap (free!). i collect recipes form blogs and elsewhere and have my own collection on my android. i LOVE that it can swoop in and take recipes from pinterest albums without any copying-pasting: http://cheftap.com/4- psyllium. this has to do with sarah's loaf of bread. it calls for psyllium. i have seen quite a few recipes for psyllium recently. i love it, too. i've made a chocolate-hemp microwave cake with psyllium as the binder. :)

the butterfinger bar from Go Max Go was a hit. i liked the EB cheeze puffs enough - but i am just not a chip/snack chip person. the new cookie cereal from Barbra's is good, reminds me of something i had as a kid!

Emailed prior to confirm the honey flavors do not contain actual honey. I was JUST saying last week how badly I wanted perfume that smelled like earl grey and jasmine teas. Yum.

Well... the earl grey and jasmine tea scents are in lip balm rather than perfume... but if I love it, I'm going to ask her if she'd make perfume oil--she makes other perfume oils.

Couldn't you just use bergamont essential oil?

I've been on ppk for a while but when the forum changed I forgot my logon info (darn you autolog!) so have not been posting. in fact, though, my husband & I were testers for AFR. I'm posting this just in a sort of celebration/recognition. I teach at a university in texas, and of course caf options have been few - until recently. I just got an email from the caf people, sent out to all and sundry: a special menu based on the idea of 'forks over knives' - all vegan, most gf! when I wrote to express my gratitude, the author of the msg outed herself as a longtime vegan, and told me that a number of the recipes being used are yours, Isa. she'd never heard of ppk (I know!) so will be checking it out. and I made a friend - first other vegan I've met on campus :)
