Whoa. Yes, please. Crappy mac and nuclear yellow/orange "cheese food" with chopped up hot dogs would be amazing. As much as I love stuff like the cashew or sunflower mac it's just not the same.

haha,, exactly.. my first thought was i can't wait to make that crepe and put some cut up tofu dogs in there. My parents would try to make more fancy mac and cheese for me as a kid, but all I wanted to eat was the kraft with some hot dogs in it.

My husband is awesome! He went and bought it for me as soon as he saw Food Fight! had it. We're going to have it with peas + chopped up hot dogs for dinner tonight.

They have both cheddar and white cheddar boxed mac and cheese now! The person posting it said it was pretty similar to kraft mac and cheese, which of course isn't gourmet, but is what I (and I assume many others) grew up on and now compare all other mac and cheese to.

What!? Yes! The Cheezits made my day, and this is a great bonus. Thank you, Earth Balance. Now who is making malt balls?

I may die if this hits Canada and doesn't cost a bajillion dollars.

Probably never. I haven't seen a single new vegan product there in the last year or so. Even Target has some of the new Gardein items.

I was surprised to find the Gardein fish fillets at a Giant Eagle, which is usually hit or miss.

In usual hit or miss fashion though, they had the fish fillets and all varieties of Beyond Meat, but no non-frozen veggie dogs, no deli slices, and only one brand of tofu, which was stupidly expensive.

they're surprisingly good.. the texture of the breading is spot on. Eaten with some Just Mayo/Vegenaise-made tartar sauce it really hits the spot.

Tried the EB mac and cheese for dinner! It was really good.i It tasted a bit different than I remember kraft tasting, but still really yummy! I can definitely see myself eating this one frequently.

It was in the life changing food thread a little while ago, after they were released at some expo or show or another. Still very new. I dream of them.

Those fish fillets are amazing - eerily realistic in flavor. I found those and the EB sour cream and onion chips when I was on vacation in California recently (that's what I do on vacation, look for all the vegan foods I can't find at home). I'm tempted to order the chips from Amazon, but they only come in 8 or 12 packs. I'm hoping the fish fillets will make their way to the East Coast Targets soon. So excited to see boxed mac and cheese!

The gardein italian sausage crumbles are amazing. From what I can tell they're only available to restaurants through distributors (at least in my city), but I've had them on pizza and in lasagna, and I'm hoping gardein makes them available at supermarkets someday.

Has anyone tried Hampton Creek's Just Mayo? According to the Wall Street Journal the company wants to make eggs obsolete. Their mayo is delicious (but at Whole Foods, it's a little pricey, so I'm going to look for it at my local Vons). I haven't tried their cookies yet and I've heard they are coming up with an egg substitute for food companies as well.

I like Just Mayo more than Vegenaise. To me the texture and taste of Just Mayo are perfect. There are many who like Vegenaise better than regular mayo though.. so there's plenty of room for both.

If their plan is to make eggs and real mayo obsolete, we can probably look forward to the price coming down quite a bit as they scale up and try to make it mass-market level.

I haven't seen the gardein sausage crumbles in the store either, but zpizza uses them.

That's good to know--zpizza used to have gross crumbles, but seem to have switched to a new, tasty crumble some months ago. I think I need to get some tomorrow since it will be my last chance until the fall.

I thought that some time in January of this year this thread was supposed to get turned into some sort of list. Did I miss that? Also, it's been 2014 for almost 6 months now. Were we supposed to start a new thread? I guess it's just become the life-changing vegan food stuff thread and I should ignore the year on it.

I'm happy to have somewhere in this world that agrees with me that it can't possibly be 2014 already..
