I tried the cheddar slices this weekend, unmelted, on a sandwich and thought they were really good that way.

I also like that they are separated with wax paper so I can freeze them and not have to worry about getting just one out at a time.

I threw the rest of the pack in the freezer -- 11 slices should last me quite a while since I don't eat it too often.

Still no slices in Chandler, AZ...we have all the pizzas, though. Haven't tried them yet.

The slices are still MIA at my store, but I just bought a pizza. IT COST $13!! holy crepe. They didn't have the price listed on the shelf, so i figured maybe $8-10. I never even buy frozen food so it's not a big deal, but man I will really never buy this again no matter how good it is.

That happened to me when Gardein came out with the turk'y cutlets...I found them but there was no price on the shelf in the freezer...I think they were $10, for two cutlets. Makes you wonder if they do that on purpose for items with ridiculous prices. LOL The cutlets never did have a tag.

That's some markup! The cutlets were $6.99 when I bought them at WF, and I thought that was expensive.

Okay well at least i will say that I really did like the pizza. I'd say it's one of the best or maybe the best frozen pizza I've had. but I haven't had many. Still not worth $12. but if my mom spontaneously had some in her freezer when I came to visit, I'd be pleased.

I think the pizzas were comparable in price to tofurky when I saw them (8-9 bucks). I'll check next time to confirm.

ETA: There was only like 1 or 2 of each kind left, too so at least they seem to be doing well! Perhaps that will draw down the price.

They were stocking them at the Fresno WF...no price on the shelf...the dairy manager gave me a package of Swiss for FREE. It's decent on sandwiches but, like any vegan cheese, I wouldn't eat a slice by itself.

Free!?! I am jealous. I'm afraid to buy the slices (not that I can get it in my town yet) but I am afraid that I won't like it (and I am cheap).

The good news is that my Whole Foods is carrying the slices and the pizza now! The bad news is, by the time I found that out, the Provolone and Swiss were already totally sold out. I bought the cheddar slices, and they've been a ginormous hit! My kids are LOVING them on sandwiches, which thrills me to no end because my kids are like ridiculously picky and sometimes resistant to our veganism. I took a bite of my son's grilled cheese, and it really tasted like the omni grilled cheeses of my childhood. I really want to try the other flavors now.

They had the swiss and the cheddar slices at my Fred Meyer today. I picked them up and put them back. I am pretty sure I won't like them and I don't want to spend 5.89 on something that I won't like! I wish I had a vegan friend here to try them with.

The provolone slices were pretty awful, plus they made my stomach hurt. Daiya has never bothered me before, so that was weird. I wish I'd bought another package of Cheddar instead.

I just saw them at Whole Foods in Portland for I think, $4.69/pack.

We haven't got the slices yet, but we have two of the pizzas - the boring cheese only and the boring fire roasted vegetable one (I was excited for the kinds of pizza we don't already have in other brands) and I bought the veggie one for $8.99 and I agree it's really good. Might be the best vegan frozen pizza out there. The fact that it's gluten free didn't bother me, but gluten free bread and pasta is weirdly tasty to me, I'm a big fan of chewy. But $9 isn't cheap and for just a few dollars more I can get a bigger pie from Mellow that's freshly made, so I can't see myself buying it often.

Oh and I forking hate frozen pizzas that you have to cook just putting on your oven rack, I don't have anything to get that shiitake out of there and the middle fell through a little on this one. Nothing disastrous, but more of a mess than I wanted.

I've never seen a frozen pizza that doesn't just tell you to put it straight on that there oven rack! Put a tray underneath? Mind you, I've never once cleaned my oven because I am a bit manky. Or are American oven racks cup-shaped? I don't know.

Some of them give you different heat/time options if you're using a cookie sheet

I bought a pizza crisper pan at Kohl's that has holes in the bottom...I use that even when it says to put it on the rack, and it seems to work well. I can never get a pizza out of the oven from directly on the rack.

my mom has this woven metal pizza pan from decades ago that's meant for frozen pizza. it always worked really well.

(now here is the cute part) she recently tried to make her own pizza from scratch and used that pan, and told me the dough got stuck in the weave. hehe.

Still nothing here. No new daiya anything and no new Tofurkey. I keep checking, though.

hopefully it won't take THAT long to get them. :-) it looks like a good year or two of growing up.

It will be that long, for me anyway! I'm not hopeful. Which is sad cause I think I would probably like them - I eat daiya shreds out of the bag.

Yeah, it took years for us to get shredded Daiya to our shelves but then the blocks arrived pretty fast. The only thing is that we only have two flavors of each (still better than nothing). However, it took years for them to start selling Tofurkey, too. Maybe I should give them a slight nudge with an email.
