I was sad that TJ's choice to use non organic or GMO free tofu, but based on the feedback it would seem that it is not great loss.

All Trader Joe's label products are supposedly GMO-free. They don't say it on the label because part of their marketing for some reason is not to seek or accept outside certifications (aside from "organic" apparently) but they claim it's all GMO free.

I've yet to see a GMO tofu, GMO soy is largely used in agriculture or byproducts of agriculture not in soy products for human consumption. Having said that, I hate GMO fear mongering and glad that they don't use a GMO free label, even if they have submitted to the fear mongering themselves.

I liked the sriracha tofu, but I do think the flavor of the marinade didn't really permeate the tofu, especially compared to the other baked tofu flaves. Aaand I like that it is pretty mild, not overly sriracha-y (I'm not big on really spicy foods), and mostly just tastes like tofu--all of which I can see as drawbacks for most people.

The Bollywood popcorn is amazing. Next time I get it, I want to get some soy yogurt and mango to make a mango lassi to accompany, as suggested by the description on the bag.

The new vegan mayo is incredible! I think it's repackaged Just Mayo

This is such good news. They had a shelf stable mayo that was not advertised as vegan, but seemed to be. It was so bad I threw it out. There was no point in trying to finish it when it just ruined everything I put it on.

That echoes the experience a staff member shared with me. This stuff though is bomb. It might be too delicious for me to keep around. I have been enjoying too many chickpea and tomato with mayo sandwiches! Mmmmmmm!

I tried it too, its ok. But i am super picky about my tofu, i prefer to make my own for salads.

That being said, its a nice convenience item. Currently i am eating a salad with that tofu, the TJ spicy peanut dressing, lettuce, radish, cucumber, shredded carrots, red bell peppers, and pickled cucumbers. Makes a pretty tasty salad.

WHOA. I'm not even 100% sure what this is, but I need it.

I tried the tempura cauliflower and was not really a fan. I cooked it much longer than it said so it would get nice and crispy on the outside, and that part was good, but the sauce was just too spicy for me.

Maybe this is old news but I just tried the frozen vegetable pakoras for the first time the other day. They were awful. Granted I microwaved them but I doubt the toaster oven could have made them any more palatable.

The new coffee mochis in the freezer are pretty good. Better than the mango ones I think. The outside mochi part is a little weird, but the ice cream inside is so amazing.
Also, my store has been doing a lot of vegan samples with the spicy peanut vinaigrette that is in the cold dressing section, so I have gotten hooked on it. Its really good with stir fry veggies, but my favorite is with the healthy 8 chopped salad thing with their sesame sticks on top.

Not gonna lie, for a spambot, I am kind of into "new porn milieu" is a concept.

The milieu of vegan porn. People cuddling rescue animals and talking about all the vegan food they are going to make.

The vegetable spring rolls are good; we ate two packages last night (alongside a Proper Dinner) because we are gluttons.

Pumpkin takeover has started!

I bought some cinnamon rolls and Joe-Joes. I would have bought the bagels, but I just bought Thomas brand yesterday. Heh. I'm kind of sad to see that at least at our location, the Pumpkin Os and Pumpkin Pecan oatmeal have not returned. Those were my favorite and the whole reason I was eagerly waiting for TJ's pumpkin takeover this year.

But why I really came in here was to go the fork OFF: my location does not sell refrigerated SOY MILK anymore. We used to have like. . . three varieties? Maybe four? Two were "light" and two normal. I always bought the unsweetened normal, because it's such a good deal. But now they're ALL gone, and there's just almond and coconut.

God forbid vegans have milk that has actual protein in it. We gotta prove the stereotype that we're all deprived by making the only milk alternatives inferior in that aspect. I can understand taking away the light varieties - my understanding is they're just watered-down soy milk. Almond and cardboard coconut are low calorie, so no need. But really? NO soy?

Fingers crossed that the pumpkin goodies continue to flood in!

That is TERRIBLE about the soy milk! I haven't looked recently, because I've been a bit addicted to the Ripple milk, which is available at Target for a decent-ish price. For soy, I've just been picking up shelf-stable unsweetened cartons for cooking from TJ's. I am dependent on the soy creamer, though, which has often been out of stock in my area lately, with only the coconut stuff available. And I don't like the coconut :(

I am tired of the anti-soy terror. ENOUGH, people!

Can anyone tell me where you're finding the coffee mochi? I can't find them at my TJ's, but I want them SO MUCH! I can only find regular dairy mochi in the regular array of flavors.

My trader joe's had the coffee mochi in with the regular flavors. I don't usually look in that section, so I don't think I would have noticed them if I hadn't seen them mentioned here.

I liked the coffee mochi. Not life-changing, but definitely tasty and they didn't have the weird fishy flavor the mango ones had.

My trader joes had no mochi, they only had the dairy mochi ice cream. I thought mine had soy milk but I had enough so didn't buy another.
